You've got a friend in Philly

Working on a pitch at Ogilvy, creative team Jack and Tom came up with the idea You've got a friend in Philly. Lead by the legendary Dave Towers we made a graphic look and feel based on big spreads coming off our headlines, extending out and hugging the food.

We won the pitch and started to roll out variations, experimenting with making type using real Philly with Alison Carmichael, moving onto 3D rendered textures with Man Vs Machine, and a custom typeface by Rob Clarke.
